We want to take advantage of the Release Management capabilities but I do not see a way to link project tasks (PRJTSK) to a Release/Phase/Feature. Agile tasks and sprints are linkable allowing us to plan stories from a project for an upcoming release or even assign whole sprints as release candidates. How can you do the same for a task on a waterfall project to identify line items from the plan as part of an upcoming release?

Hi Mike,
finally from Orlando release you can define the scope of a Release to add projects, epics, stories, enhancements, defects and ITSM objects (Incidents, Problems, Changes). You can refer to this documentation: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/orlando-it-service-management/page/product/release-management/tas....
From Madrid/New York releases, you can achieve stil achieve your requirement by defining an Agile Phase in your Project Workbench and link it to your Agile Development objects (Stories or Sprint Start/End), which are referenced to a Release and roll-up project task completion form their Definition of Done (DoD).
Hope that helps!

Hi Mike!
I don't believe that we have a way of linking Project Tasks to releases.
You would likely need to add a new Release reference field on Project Task records in order to associate them and then you would be able to use a related list on the Release form.
Hope that helps!

Thanks to you both for the replies. I now have some options on how to tie Projects into Releases on our current version (London) and a big reason to upgrade to Orlando!
