Change default currency in Portfolio

Hi,

I want to make the Currency calculation under the entire Portfolio(include program, demand, project, cost plan, benefit plan) use HKD, is there any way?

I know that I can change the calculation logic of global property, but now the system is already used, can there be other ways?

Hi Peter,

We recently implemented multicurrency for Demand and Project Management which enables the user to set a Demand/Project currency and also enables the user to enter cost plans in a currency which is different than Demand/Project currency. There will always be a base functional/system currency which can't be changed.  This might be worth checking out the functionality.

It seems currently multicurrency is not supported at Portfolio or Program level. But hoping in future releases ServiceNow might support as well.

Hope this helps

Hi Aghera,

When I created a Cost Plan in a Demand record, I chose Entered Currency as HKD, and then entered the 3000 unit count, but I saw that Expense was displayed 3000 USD in demand. This situation exists. Whether I turn on Multiple Currency.

Hi Peter,

With multicurrency you have have the concept of Functional currency and Demand/Project currency and for the conversion to work properly you need to enter the Budget reference rates for difference currencies.

Please ensure you have the budget reference rates added and then you should be able to see the currency exchange between HKD & USD.

Hope this helps
