Color coding project workspace

Hi everyone,
is there a logic for the color codes of the ganth chart in the project workspace on the planning tab in section?

The Gannt colors are set by ServiceNow, I have seen no logic documented on the color selection, other than they differentiate the gannt component from others. I have noticed the following logic:
1. Blue: Task in progress or active
2. Green: The Task is complete
3. Red: Delayed or past due
4. Orange/Yellow/Amber: Has risk or is now approaching a deadline
5. Grey: In a planned sate and not started
At present (xanadu) they are still not user configurable see:

I have created a test project plan and project with start plan in March.
Therefore I would expect based on the above logic be all tasks as not yet started (are in status Pending ) to be Grey.
However they are all of the above colours (green, yellow, amber..) and its not clear at all based on what logic the colours are changing.
