Does anyone know how to create a report and related chart that can show planned end date vs actual end date? I would like to show a chart of when a project was supposed to end versus actually ended.

Hello,

The chart type should be one of "Time series" type (1st screenshot)

Also you need to add another dataset which will trend the same data by the Opened date (2nd screenshot)

Hope this helps

Sorry the file was not the right one. Here is the good one.

which field can allow us to select X-axis and Y-asis?

The fields that allow you to select the X-axis and Y-axis in ServiceNow PPM when creating a report and related chart are:

  • X-axis: Set the field to "Planned End Date" and select an appropriate aggregation method, such as "Month" or "Quarter."
  • Y-axis: Set the field to "Actual End Date" and choose the same aggregation method as in step 4a.

These settings can be configured under the "Configure" section of the report creation process, after you have selected the "Bar" chart type and "Project" as the data source (table) for the report.

If you found my response helpful or applicable, please consider marking it as correct or helpful to assist others who may be seeking the same information.
