Create Resource Group - should it provide the pps_role?

When using the below method for creating a resource group, my presumption was that when using it then it would immediately show as a resource group. However, for this to happen, the role pps_resource needs applied to the group and i'm observing that this isn't being automatically applied when creating a resource group via this link. Literally you create the new group, and it doesnt then show in the Resource Group list. So then a second action is needed to apply the role so it will show.

I'm just confirming that this is OOB vs or do i have something broken? I mean, if the link is intended to just DISPLAY what the resource groups are, thats fine, but having the "NEW" ui button seems to suggest that it will indeed create a resource group (instead it just creates a group with no roles, types, etc).

Thanks in advance..

I just checked in my personal developer Paris instance, Les, and it does NOT assign the role. I seem to remember the same is true in our Production New York instance. I created the group but had to contact our admin to add the role. -Jon

thank you for confirming in your instances to help me know that it appears to be OOB this way.

i would have checked my PDI but didnt realize you could add premium stuff like  ITBM to that.

You can add ANYTHING to your PDI 🙂
