Delete Fiscal Periods and all associated data

We created a number of fiscal periods through 2026 and allowed project managers to allocate project benefits to those periods.  Now senior management wants to cut back to only allowing benefits for the next 2 years (thru 2021).

How can I mass delete all the data for the fiscal periods 2022, 23, 24, 25, 26?  Will that auto update all of the projects?

Hi Philips,

I am confused a bit here. Do you want to delete benefit plan breakdowns? or Fiscal periods?
Looks like you want to change benefit plan which could be done without deleting the fiscal periods.
This will also update benefit in project.
Let me know if my understanding is correct.

Actually I want to do both

  • Delete parts of current benenfitplans that go beyond 20201
  • Also, ensure no one adds to those fiscal periods in the futuere

Hi,

You can deactivate fiscal future fiscal periods

By navigating to Project Administration >fiscal periods 

And clear the open checkbox to deactivate. Because  the only open fiscal periods are active and can be used and referred by other records.

After deactivating fiscal period ,no one can use those fiscal periods.

You can also modify fiscal period by modifying star date and end date.

You can delete benefit plan by navigating to benefit_plan table and select benefit plan which you want to delete, by applying filter condition(filter based on fiscal period) and then delete the record.
