Hello,
I have been working with Managed Documents and have tested out different access levels. In the Wiki it states that the Classification and Audience are as follows:
Classification - Defines document restriction level, such as public, restricted, or confidential
Audience - Defines the groups with access to the document, such as internal or external.
I have changed the Classification and the Audience but it does not seem to change who can view, check, edit, etc. documents. Can anyone shed some light on how these are used?
Thank you,
Samantha

Samantha,
Further down in the wiki it does specify that classifications do not define access to the document.
The document restriction level, such as public or confidential. (Does not define access to the document. Document security is set in user and group permissions.)
Out of the box these fields are for organizational purposes and can easily be added of the document naming convention. Outside of that I believe any use for these fields would have to be customized in ACL's, script includes, business rules, client scripts, etc.
Thanks
Brian
