Hello All,
I Need help on this issue in project task table
Consider 'start date' and 'end date' are filled with one month difference when you change the 'start date' to 15 days near to 'end date' then automatically it is extending the 15 days in 'project task' form but i want to restrict it to same 'end date' should be there which earlier was there and also 'duration' field can adjust accordingly what we have given in 'start date'...
can you plss help on this i was going though that 'Recalculate' BR but not getting, i am not sure where to update or can we create new BR for this
Thanks in advance

Hi Haresh,
There are few things that you are clubbing together from a process perspective.
1. If you have set a project task to have 30days duration, then based on the actual start date the end date will automatically adjust. If your task has started late and you still want your end date to be the same then reduce the duration.
2. Have your tried to apply a constraint to the project task? Give it a try as it constraint the date from changing
3. You should always baseline the project plan so that it will help you track your planned vs actual dates
Hope this helps.

Hi Haresh,
What you are saying seems to not following the best practices of Project Management.
The Project duration and End date are both very much inter related. If one changes the other will change and that's how the OOTB system works to ensure your project plan reflects the correct dates based on the progress recorded.
Trying to understand your use case here to alter the OOTB/best practice.
