Not all organization are ready, mature enough, staffed enough to use Demand Management and Project Management modules.
How can you Intake and manage ServiceNow Demands for Projects and Feature without full on Demand Management and Project Management modules?
1) Create Governance model
- L1 - Executive Leadership / Sponsor (E.g Director / VP)
- L2 - Product Team (for small orgs this can be optional)
- L3 - Demand Board
- L4 - Platform team
2) Create a process workflow
- Intake via IDEAs (Innovation management)
- Send easy wins (low -med effort) to Product Team and complex ones (high effort, usually projects) to demand board
- Follow demand evaluation criteria to approve / reject items reviewed by the demand board (weighted scoring, MoSCow, Fibonacci )
- Approved and prioritized enhancements are aligned to your "North Start" (strategy & roadmap)
- Development stories are then sent to development already in a sprint, with epic, theme and product
You can create your own task types for IDEAs and still align to CSDMv5 😉

When posting in the Question section of the Community, can you start your posts with stating that it isn't a question, but information you want to share? The post is very helpful if you are looking for such a solution, but people that are here to help others start on your post to see how to help you and find out that it's an article that can't be posted as an article because of ServiceNow's weird policy of preventing blogs/articles from people that aren't Rising Stars/MVPs.
Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.
