Is there a way to easily log PTO without having to calculate how many hours to take off for PTO on a given day that is already allocated to a resource plan?
Example: Let's say I want to take off a full day of work on a given day, which in our instance is 8 hours. So I log 8 hours of time off on my calendar, which is the entire day for availability purposes. However, I'm also allocated towards an operational resource plan that takes out ~3 hours daily of work. This means that if I just take off 8 hours, I'll now show as over allocated on the workbench and other reports:
In this scenario, to accurately portray myself as not allocated, I would have to calculate the remainder of hours leftover from the operational plan (in this case 5) and then only log the remainder as PTO. Or, I would have to delete the allocation for that day and then log all 8 towards PTO. Both are not very intuitive ways to simply log days off for allocation purposes.
NOTE: In our instance, using the 'All day' function on the calendar for time off creates an entry of 24 hours, which causes an overallocation of 16 hours for that specific day.
Is there any way for users to just mark a day as PTO without having to perform additional steps when allocated to operational plans or other resource plans?

Hi @Kevin Recio ,
Thanks for sharing the query.
When user adds the PTO as time off in the user's calendar it is not considered as allocated hours. I think you are using out of office category that is why this issue is occurring.
To explain OOTB behaviour, I have created a small video for you.
Hope this helps. If it does, please mark the response as correct answer.
Thank You!
