We're migrating our project management from Broadcom Clarity into SPM and have been asked to bring over Posted time cards for our active projects to have some historical data on our capacities. We're successfully importing and transforming the data into the time_card table (with business rules off). What I'm finding is that the time cards don't show up in the project record and don't show on the resource aggregate reporting available. Does a business rule need to run for that to occur? Or do the time cards have to be associated to resource plans?

Time written on projects don't need resource plans (you can work on any task and write time on it), but to have everything populated, there is a lot of logic that runs under water. So importing just the time cards, won't populate/calculate to other parts of the system. Try running it on a DEV instance with business rules on and see if that populates everything you are looking for. I think it will.

Hi,
What I'm finding is that the time cards don't show up in the project record
Time card record hold reference of Task record against which time is being logged. The Project record has Time Cards related list that displays all the Time Cards logged against all the child Project Tasks. It uses "Top Task" reference updated on Time Card with help of BR "Populate Top Task". Please review the imported Time Card record for this reference field.
and don't show on the resource aggregate reporting available.
Please provide more details which resoruce aggregate reporting is being referred here.

Thank you, I was not running with business rules on and that appears to have resolved the issues I was having. I had turned off the BRs on the transform due to it failing on the Week Starts On validation but have that figured out now.
