Having recently attended training, I'm led to believe that if you import a MS Project Plan into SN, it should automatically over-write / delete / update the tasks that are already in SN. Experience tells me that this is not the case in our instance of SN - we end up with duplicate tasks, therefore resulting in multiple tasks; Does anyone else have this experience or knows if this is a functionality that needs to be enabled within SN first?
thanks
Sam

If you have existing tasks present then you wont be able to import a project plan. You need to remove all tasks and then only import of a project plan will be possible.
After u import a project plan from mpp and then add few new tasks then it will throw a message that there are few tasks which do not match and hence import cannot be executed. If you delete few tasks then after u import the deleted tasks will be added again when you import.
Hope these helps
