Missing record

I have a time card that I cannot find in prod but can find in dev.  I have the sys_id but I cannot find anything in prod.  Any idea how else I can retrieve?  I'm trying to find the root cause.

Would it actually be in Prod?

Was Prod recently cloned to Dev...for this to even be possible?

Otherwise, someone could have created it on Dev only and it never existed on Prod.

Or...if it was on Prod, someone may have deleted it?

If it really needs to be on prod, you can attempt to export the Dev record and import to Prod, but your post is a bit confusing as we don't have all the details to know if you're asking from the context that it is actually supposed to be in Prod...or you don't know?

Hi Allen:  Prod was cloned to Dev recently that is how I was able to validate that I was not going crazy.  I feel that it was deleted in prod but I don't know how to find it, if it was done by someone or a rule.

Haha, ok. That information helps us also know that you aren't "going crazy", lol.

With that said, if the record isn't retrievable in the retrieve deleted records (which I doubt it's there) - System Definition > Deleted Records, then you won't really know at this point.

If the record is there, then you can see who deleted it.

I don't think there's any system process that would delete a record, so most likely it may have been deleted by someone else, especially if the record was submitted/approved and all that.
