We have a use case where Stories were originally developed for Project A. The story records are associated to Project A and also automatically get associated to the Demand record that drove Project A.
We have decided that some stories developed for Project A need to be moved to a phase two project called Project B. However, there is no real way to do this as when we try to update the Project field on the Story record the only project that shows available is Project A.
We found that it appears the related Demand record seems to be filtering the Project field, but we are unable to clear the Demand field because it is read-only.
How should Stories be moved from Project A to Project B?? Is there something we are missing?
Thank you for any help,
Jeff

We ran into this recently and figured out two ways around it.
1) on the demand record, go to the stories related list and click "Edit" and remove the stories from the slush bucket. Someone with the demand manager role would likely have to do this. You can now freely update the project on the story form. Don't use the checkboxes/list action drop down to delete, or it will actually delete the story records.
2) Go directly to the Stories list (via the navigator). Check the box next to each story you want to move, then click the "Assign to project" button at the top right. That will provide you an unfiltered choice of projects and allows you to choose any you want.
