PMO dashboard - Widgets not filtering as expected

Hello,

I am trying to customize our OOB 'PMO Dashboard' to show all of the metrics we'd like to see at the Program level. For report widgets (single score, and chart) based on the pm_project table, they seem to work fine when checking the 'Follow interactive checkbox'. However, some metrics need to come from the resource_plan table, and those report widgets do not seem to follow the filter, even with the checkbox checked.

It seems like the interactive filter is smart enough to navigate the Program -> Project relationship, but not capable of navigating one level down, Program -> Project -> Resource Plan.

I've even tried updating the 'program' reference field on resource_plan records, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Found the solution:

1. Go to dashboard properties from the hamburger menu.

2. Open the 'Program' Breakdown Source in the related list.

3. Open the Interactive Filter assigned in the 'Act as filter' field.

4. In the 'Interactive Filters References' related list, add a new record for the table you want to follow the filter, and setup the relationship.
