I was ondering why the 'project_user' role contains personalize_control, personalize_dictionary, personalize_form, personalize_list, personalize_responses, personalize_rules, personalize_styles, task_editor, and personalize_choices.
These roles seem like they should only be limited to admins/developers? It isn't going to hurt anything if I remove those rolses from the project_user role is it?

Hi Josh,
I verified on my Helsinki Patch 10 instance the these are the roles added. None of the other ones are required.
I'll check to see if there is a fix in one of the patches 8,9,10 that resolved the issue. I recommend removing those extra roles from project_user so they don't get added by default. Remember to use it_project_user as the primary role

Hi Joshua,
Please review the usage of all roles as described in below screenshot also all are mostly used for "Personalized List" and you can assign "project_user" role to new user who don't have any role except "project_user" and you can impersonate that user and check what all changes that user can do.

Hi again Josh,
In searching the KB, I don't see anything about a fix for this issue or a known error.
Can you possibly log an incident? Thanks!
Emily
