report visible only to a specific user or group error

I have created report and added to the dashboard. when I share the report to the group/user but that particular user cannot view the report. the error is "report visible only to a specific user or group" and that user/group has not assign any roles. I have tried report_user, report_global, report_admin such roles but still the same error is occurring. I just want to set the user to view report not edit/create.

Can you check whether the user has access to the table where the report is created.

If the reprot is added to dashbaord, does user able to access dashabord? Does this group have role dashboard_viewer/reprot_viewer?

Have you ensured that the user have report_view role together with access for the underlying data table?

seems report is not sharing correctly.

Is that user member of that group?

Did you try sharing it explicitly to that user and not via group?
