Resource Assignment questions in new Project workspace

As per documentation after enabling resource plan toggle, once resource is assigned using add resource or through wbs , resource allocation is created automatically. I would like to know :

1. What is the use of resource status field. After adding a resource how resource is requested, confirmed and allocated.

2. How can I view resource plan which is created automatically.

3. In old resource allocation plan there was a field Rate override.How can I override resource rate in New resource assignment functionality ?? This is very useful as many times we give discounts to standard labor rate so while creating  resource plan we can override standard labor rate.
