Resource plan dates vs Demand Estimated Dates

Hello all

 

I was under the impression that when you modify a Demand's Estimated Start / Finish dates, it would automatically make the corresponding changes to the Resource Plans? Does it not work this way? Or do you have to modify the Resource Plans dates for every change made to the Demand Estimated Start/ Finish Dates?
