Greetings all! I'm relatively new to the ServiceNow 'Community' and I wanted to see if I could get your collective insight on something I'd like to be able to achieve as a PM/BA.
I've performed a number of searches in the Community and Documentation sites but apologies if I've missed something obvious... or if I've missed something that's not enabled in our instance.
What I'd like:
- A hierarchical/collapsible display of all tasks and child tasks for a project.
- Consistent view of columns/fields/tags that I designate (as PM).
- Sharing to those with a standard (non-PM) user license.
Where I'm at and what I've explored:
- The 'Planning Console' addresses item #1 in the list above ... but not items #2 or #3.
- 'Reports' address items #2 and #3 ... but not item #1.
- 'Gantt Charts' address items #1 and #3 ... but not item #2.
- ('Cause that's not really what Gantt charts do.)
- 'Visual Task Boards' address items #2 (kinda) and #3 ... but not #1.
Products like SmartSheet and Asana offer great, modern, fluid options for displaying project tasks and subtasks to assignees and managers alike — but I can't quite find the right fit in ServiceNow.
Thanks in advance for any input!

Thought I might check back and see if anyone has had any additional thoughts since the Vancouver and Washington releases. Thanks!

- Utilize the Planning Console for hierarchical task display.
- Customize views and fields using Reports.
- Explore Gantt Charts for an overview of project tasks.
- Use Visual Task Boards for a more visual representation, albeit with some limitations.
- Consider integrating external project management tools if necessary for specific needs.
