SPM Financial Management - Analytics Platform - Dashboard Creation

Hi,

I am currently developing a dashboard for Budget, Investment, Cost Managment.

I do have the process flow for the client's financial processes.

I've installed the SPM Financial Management Plugins and seen some out of the box reports but doesn't have the report I need. I am thinking if It would be good if ServiceNow have a collection of the sample dashboards where I can reuse and edit.

Looking for help if anyone can point me in the right direction on how I can develop the dashboard.

Hello Darwin,

If performance analytics is an option, you may want to consider installing the plugin "Performance Analytics - Content Pack - PPM Standard".

Some useful PA widgets in my opinion, that look great combined with a breakdown source on portfolio:

- Projects over budget (where the EAC is higher than the planned cost)
- Projects with Negative ROI
- Actual costs
- Planned costs
- Planned benefits

If PA is not an option, some examples I recommend through the classic reporting module:
- List overview of your projects, their related budget, EAC, actual costs, planned/start date & fiscal year (which can be filtered based on portfolio)
- Cost trend analysis (planned costs vs actual costs)
- Expense lines grouped by expense type

Hi Jae,

I have installed the plugin prior. I just need to explore that plugin. Thanks!

Developing a dashboard for budget, investment, and cost management sounds like a worthwhile project. It's great that you've already got the process flow mapped out. When it comes to finding the right reports, it can be a bit of a hunt sometimes, huh? Have you considered checking out Questis Financial Wellness? They offer some pretty neat tools that might align well with what you're trying to achieve. As for developing the dashboard, have you explored customizing existing templates or perhaps reaching out to the ServiceNow community for insights?
