SPM Implementation Assistance

Looking for input from individuals who have had a successful ServiceNow implementation.  We are a large healthcare network attempting to implement ServiceNow SPM and are seeking information on what worked/did not work for you during your implementation. 

 

Some areas for we are looking for input on:

  • Use/set up of fields (Impact, T-shirt, Priority, etc)
  • Governance groups/meetings/frequency
  • Assessments
  • Prioritization across multiple departments
  • SLAs
  • Demand workflow

My experience is that SPM is a fairly bare bones layer on top of the ServiceNow platform which acts mostly as a capability demo.
To actually implement something useful for your organisation you need to run it as a project - BAs confirm requirements, developer(s) build the system to meet the requirements, testers make sure it works, etc.
You'll probably want to get a ServiceNow vendor involved to provide guidance and potentially do the hard work.
