SPM - Licenses to submit demand from the backend

Hi,

If someone creates (only creation) a demand in the backend, he/she needs to pay for a license?

Thank you!

For entitlement questions, you should always consult your account team as there may be unique conditions in your contract.

However, to create a demand you do not need any entitlement as per the SPM Use Rights guide "A requestor can create a new demand and also add other requestors as collaborators. As a collaborator (with only requestor access) can view this demand but cannot modify. They can view demands only from the self service menu 'My Demands'."

As mentioned in another response here, that is typically done via a catalog item request.

Hi @Tommaso2,

Yes, there are only two roles available for demand management, and the Business Stakeholder user is unable to create records.

Roles installed with PPM Standard (Project Portfolio Management)

You might create a catalog item / record producer to create demand skeletons from the service catalogue.

Hope this helps!

"You might create a catalog item / record producer to create demand skeletons from the service catalogue. " -> if this is in the backend, license comes at a cost?

thank you!

It will be part of the portal (/sp, /esc, etc.) you're already using.
