Hello! We are finding the out of box reports and reporting capabilities within SPM to be limiting, thus spending an exhaustive amount of time exporting data and manipulating it with Excel.
Hearing that many companies use Tableau as their solution. If you do, looking for pros and cons and what you wish you would have known before moving to Tableau.
Also wondering if there are any other solutions being used. Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom and experiences.

Hi Marjorie,
Reporting is quite dependent on customer specific use cases, ease of use, organizational choice of enterprise reporting solutions and many more. SPM itself has quite a lot of capabilities that can be leveraged including but not limited to charting, widgets, different dashboards such as Strategic Planning for PPM, Strategic Planning workspace, or even extend the NOW Platform capabilities such as PA(performance analytics) etc. Outside SPM/SN, lot of companies who already habe Enterprise Reporting licenses such as Tableu, Power BI, Zoho Analytics and many more. Everyone will have some pros and cons and vary from the use case or license req etc , so might help if you think about some common use cases first to speed up this analysis. ServiceNow APIs are quite capable of transferring data to any reporting solutions with API features.
Hope this helps as a starting point. Good luck.
