SPM Use case query

Hello All,

I have been learning about Project Portfolio Management within the SPM framework over the past few weeks. While I have a good understanding of the processes related to Ideas, Demand, Projects, Resource Allocation, etc., I lack real-time experience with the SPM modules.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could share 5 to 10 use case scenarios involving configurations and customizations commonly encountered during SPM implementations. Specifically, I am interested in the types of tasks that typically arise in relation to SPM.

This is my opinion. I have seen a conflation of the idea and demand processes. Idea is intended to be open to the organization and simple. So here are two suggestions around the idea module:

1. Avoid customization and rely on configuration: things like categories, downvoting, etc.
2. Consider the use of idea modules for capturing ideas for specific applications. For example, creating an idea module for ServiceNow, Epic (the healthcare application), or other major application in an organization.

Now around demand, have a consistent process in the organization but consider using a record producer for differences in intake.
