Total the hours for the resource allocation daily to a maximum of 8 hours per day

Hi All,

In resource management, we have BAU and Project allocation which has different resource plans. Is it possible to add a validation that will set the hours daily to a maximum of 8 hours per day?

In my screenshot, the allocation is for 2019-03-01 and that includes BAU and PROJECT. However if we total the hours for that one day [2019-03-01] it exceeded the 8 hours (the total hours of work per day)? Has anyone done any validation that will either restrict to allocate more hours if it reached 8 hours already?

Thanks in advance.

Ramel

Navigate to Resource > users

and fill in Average Daily FTE Hours/Hours Per Person Day field

Thanks for the response dvp. I have tried putting 8 hours on Average Daily FTE Hours/Hours Per Person Day but when I tried creating a resource plan it still is allocating more than 8 hours for 1 day.

That is a combination of BAU and PRJ which should only be maximum total of 8 hours.

Thanks,

Ramel

After updating Average Daily FTE did you click on Update Resource Capacity in the related link ?

Yes dvp, I clicked on Update Resource Capacity and also tried to Update Resource Aggregates but it still allows to allocate when I create a new resource plan and still makes it more than 8 hours daily. It seems like it is not considering that 8 hours set on the daily/fte hours.
