Understanding Status Date on ServiceNow Project record.

@Namita Mishra , @Rajesh_Singh  - Could you please share your thoughts on my question below.

I’m trying to understand the impact of the "Status Date" field on the Status Report for a project. The documentation defines "Status Date" as "the date until which you want to generate the status report."

The project status report provides a snapshot of key milestones and RIDAC for the project record.

I have created a project with an actual start date of 09/01/2024 and two tasks set as key milestones:

  • Task #1: Planned end date is 09/10/2024 - Completed Task
  • Task #2: Planned end date is 09/20/2024 - In Progress Task

If I generate a status report today (09/17/2024) with the Status Date set to "09/09/2024," will the milestones show on the report as "Completed" or "Pending"?

Overall, I’m trying to understand the functionality of the Status Date. Will the report be based on the given Status Date, or will it reflect the current updates to the project.
