Update the Resource Capacity for an Individual Resource.

Scenario: During the setup of Resource Plans, we have a requirement to increase the Capacity of some Vendor resources to 9 hours a day.

What I did:  Using the below-mentioned Navigation :

Resources - > Users-> Select a specific Vendor resource. Update the Average Daily FTE hours/Hours Per Person Days for the specific User to 9 hours. Then ran the Update Resource Capacity and Update Resource aggregate jobs.

 Issue: During the Resource Plan creation the Capacity of the Resource is not getting increased by 9 hours still showing 8 hours * working days. If you click on the Resource Finder on the Resource Plan to see the available capacity of the Resource Month wise or weekly. It still calculates based on 8 hours.

Please help..

Hi @Aditi 

Update the Average Daily FTE hours/Hours Per Person Days for the specific User to 9 hours. Average daily fte and schedule hours of user should be same in order to get correct values for person days in aggregates and hours in fte and person days type resource plans.

Capacity of user will be derived from schedule. Create a new schedule with 9hours per day and attach to user then running 'Update Resource Capacity' ui action updates capacity of user per day to 9hours.

Do you have any idea on How we can change the assigned capacity in PPM to 3 days a week (Monday - Wednesday) for user? and what its impact if we change in to 3 days a week in terms of resource plans, time cards?
