Hi,
When we search for a Roles under Resource Application we have Resource Roles which comes from resource_role table and we have roles which we basically used for the security purpose like granting with the role get an access etc
Can anyone please help me in some details understanding the difference since our client wanted to know about it 😞

Hello,
"Roles" in the permission sense for ServiceNow: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-platform-administration/page/administer/roles/concept/c_R... are used for access and various other system administrative reasons.
"Resources Roles": https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-it-business-management/page/product/resource-management/r... as present within the Resource Application are used for grouping resource types under one bucket that you can set an hourly rate to and run reports against. Such as developers, architects, etc.
