In Rome, you can schedule the approved start and end dates of demands without having a direct impact on the demand planned dates.
What does it mean to customers?
Approved Date: This is the must achieve date or fixed delivery date or deadline, which we should not miss in any case. This is the ultimatum set by the client. This field is highlighted with red color if the date in this field is set to a date later than the Start date field in demand (Planned start date in Project).
Planned Date: The word planned is interpreted as your planning or forecasting. The planned date can be changed because it’s planning. However, the project manager must ensure the planned date is within the approved date & complete the project work within the approved date available. Start/Due date for the demand. This date is changed to the Planned start/end date when the demand is converted to a project.

Rajesh,
Thank you for these clear definitions for the dates on demands. We implemented SN for SPM about 6 months ago and we're still navigating how data flows in the applications.
Can you point me in the right direction on how dates are mapped to the project and how task & timecard dates affect/change the Planned/Actual/Approved dates on the project?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Mathew
