Bulk Change Requests

Hi - We have teams that are required to open a large amount of Change Requests on a daily basis. They are similar in nature in terms of start time and affected CI, just the impacted CIs (servers) change. So one Application could have 200 servers, they need to be rebooted overnight. One server would be Impacted CI, and the Application would be Affected CI.

 

What is an easy solution to give these teams quality of life and not have to open 200 changes manually? Maybe an offering, where you add 200 servers to impacted CI, and the application as Affected CI, and the start and end time, description, etc, and submitting yields 200 change requests. This is on an ongoing basis.

FWIW .. Scheduled Jobs work great. I had some challenges in getting Standard Changes to work (they kept coming across as Normal changes); however, once I added "Model = Standard" as a mandatory field in the template (setting it to Standard), it worked like a champ.
