Decision State

Looking for recommendations on how your organization utilizes the Decision State to align with the Decision Status. Any verbiage or definitions that you can provide would be helpful.

To provide context: we are maturing our process and have come across confusion on when to use the Closed Skipped vs Close Incomplete vs Closed Complete regarding the outcome of the Decision Status.

ServiceNow Decision Status Options:

1. Pending

2. Approved

3. Rejected

4. Closed Skipped

ServiceNow Decision State Options:

1. Pending - aligns with the 'Pending' decision status. Decision is being worked but is pending something/someone to progress

2. Open - decision is in draft has not moved to work in progress

3. Work in Progress - decision is WIP and going through the workflow

4. Closed Complete - aligns with the Approved decision status. Should a rejected decision also be Closed complete?

5. Closed Incomplete - when would you use this?

6. Closed Skipped - aligns with the 'Close Skipped' decision status but when would you use this for a decision?
