Duplicate Rejection Comments

I created my own business rule to copy the approval or rejection comment onto the request so that it displays in the activity stream.

 

Upon testing, I am noticing that there is a system generated comment that displays the rejection comment in a strange format [username : comment].

I have looked everywhere for a business rule that could possibly auto-generate this comment but I'm not sure what is causing it. I tried to look in the event log for what is firing this event and was unable to find it. I also tried to enable debugging for business rules and could not determine what's causing this comment to appear. I assume it's an out-of-the-box feature, because it is system generated, and it only happens on rejection. If I deactivate my business rule, this system message still generates comments on rejection. 

 

Is anyone familiar with this strange system generated comment and can tell me where to find what is causing it so I can deactivate it?

After further investigation, I have identified which business rule is generating the duplicate comment. It is "approval events (task)".

Hello @neil_b ,

Please check if the configuration is done in Widget. Or if there is any inbound email action configured if the record is approved or rejected via email.

Hi Omkar, there is no related configuration within the widget or inbound email action that is creating the system generated comment of [username : comment].

Not sure, but check is the rejection comments getting copied in REQ/ RITM? if yes than this can be the reason.
