How can I manually assign a survey to someone and have it linked to an Incident?

Our survey trigger stopped working and has not assigned a survey for a number of Incidents.

I would like to manually assign those missed surveys out, however, when I do a manual assignment, there is no field to enter the related incident number.  The survey instance is created but the 'Task' column, which would normally show the Incident number, shows (empty).  The email that goes to the user does not include the incident number.  

 

Is is possible to manually assign a survey and set the Incident that the survey is for, so that the email that goes to the customer, and the survey instance, will include the Incident number (task)?

Firstly, from teh incident itself, you can find the Assigned to user's name or the user you want to send the survey to, use it in the below steps :

  1. Navigate to All > Survey > View Surveys.
  2. Select an active, published survey.
  3. Complete one of the following actions.
    Option Description
    Assign a survey to users listed in the Survey Users related list Click Send invitations.
    Assign a survey to any user Click Assign Survey and select one or more users, and then click OK.
    The system creates a survey instance assigned to the user or users, assuming the user is eligible to receive a new survey instance. When you use the Assign Survey button, the selected user is not saved as a survey user.

Hi Sandeep, the problem I am facing is that the new survey instances are not associated with an Incident number.  I am looking to generate the survey instance and populate the 'Task' column with a specific Incident number, before the survey invite is sent to the user.

Hi I'm faced with the same issue of needing to send a couple of manual survey but have not figured out how to link it with the task/case. It does not allow me to manually add a trigger ID. Is there a different approach I should use so when the individual completes the survey, I can see which task/case they're referencing.
