how to get a variable in multiple languages in email notifications

Hi everyone, we are currently working on implementing email notifications, and we have a requirement to make them bilingual in both English and French.

The challenge I'm encountering involves the requested item table. When a user submits a request for an item, the notification is triggered, and we include the variable 'short description' in the email.

However, the issue is that the 'short description' variable appears either in English two times or in French two times. Is there a way to pull the value and display it in both languages for each section of the email ?

Trying to show the Short description of an ritm in both french and english value.

Since this is ritm the value does not change on this notification.

i'm curious about the custom field you are suggesting can you give more info ?

Where did the translation happen, before or after the creation of the RITM? Also can you send an image of what is notification looks like and the submitted RITM.

The translation is the item short description so it's static. So the information is in the sys_dictionnary of the item.

For the notification example.

Hello

Your ticket ritm 123456 - $short_description (wish is buy a new mouse for example)

English

Bonjour,

Votre numéro ritm123456 - $short_description ( acheter une nouvelle souris)

So both $short_description should be translated in english and french for their own part of the email.

So what I am thinking there is to create a new field

Short Description: Original Short Description populated through record producer (If language is English, translated value will populate the 2nd field and vice versa)

Short Description Translated: Translated value of short description 

Once the ticket has been created, there are 2 emails triggered. One is for English and One for French where:

1st Notification: Use Short Description

2nd Notification: Use Short Description Translated
