The best approach is to go to ServiceNow University (previously known as Now Learning, so you will might find some references to it but it is the same thing)

And there are many trainings and courses that you can take, some of them are for free some are paid... if you will have a company, they might provide you the paid courses for lower price or for free.

You can start with the free ones and select Welcome to ServiceNow or any similar, the classes are also with an instructor on on demand which means that you will get materials and you continue with your own pace (2 hours a day or do it in one day it is up to your availability).

Selected classes will grant you a voucher to get a certification and these trainings usually provide an e-book which you can study from, reading it carefully 2x and completing the labs should be enough to pass the certification.

Another thing are micro-certifications (there are about 20 or so) and these are for free and you can use internet to learn the right answers.

Any combination of the described above should be a good ground to learn ServiceNow.
