I want to know how to adjust the settings to reference Retired records.

If a knowledge article associated with an incident record has a status of "Retired", the article cannot be viewed with ITIL permissions.

If you click on the knowledge article marked in yellow in the image above that is in the "Retired" state, the following screen will appear.

The image below shows the screen when the same operation is performed with admin privileges.
I would like to adjust it so that the same screen is displayed for ITIL-granted users as well.

Hi @bonsai ,

 

Yes this oob behaviour of knowledge management, retired article can not be view by non admin person. Author of article can view the article for republish.

 

to allow it for itil view you have to adjust the read acl written on km .
