I want to stop receiving emails about catalog items.

I want to stop receiving emails when I submit a catalog item, and when it is approved or rejected.

I'm hesitant to update the notification because it's a high-risk file.

Is it possible to control this in bulk using properties?

I want to send a custom notification instead of using OOTB notifications.

there are many options out there.. you might need to share more context.

Do you want to stop receiving this only as yourself or for all the users?

For yourself only, use the preferences tab:

For all the users, go to notifications and adjust the conditions when to trigger or who it will receeive..

Hi @bonsai

1. You can add the condition in notification  to exclude the catalog item by adding conditions

refer: How to not send the Approval Request Email for particular Catalog Items?

Exclude your catalog item from OOB notification.

In the When to send section, use the condition builder:

  • Show related fields (dot-walking).
  • Select Request Item -> Catalog Item | Is not | < Your Catalog Item>

Also check : Eliminate the OOB Approval rejected email notifications for a specific catalog item

Hi @bonsai ,

I would create the custom notification that you want to send out and set the conditions that you want it sent in. Then mark the OOTB notifications inactive.

If however you just want to stop receiving them yourself then you can manage that in the notifications section, under preferences in the user menu (top right hand corner).

Many Thanks,

Rob

I want to stop out-of-the-box notifications for all users.

Furthermore, OOTB notification records appear to be high-risk files, so editing them is not recommended.

While there may be no other option, we would prefer to avoid editing high-risk files if possible.
