Interesting, @Dr Atul G- LNG. I have never waited than a couple of minutes - PDI or lab instance. Both waking up or requesting new, unless it was a new version with waitlist, otherwise all my instances in the last years were ready without waiting. What am I doing wrong that I don't need to wait? 😛
That is why I was surprised with the 2 hours period...

Normal Time: 5 to 20 minutes. In most cases, once you hit "Request," the platform provisions it almost immediately.
Waitlist Scenario: If a new version (like Washington DC or Xanadu) has just released, demand can be high. You might be put on a waitlist, which can take a few hours to a few days depending on availability.

Hi @DodyO,
requesting a new instance is usually done in a couple of minutes. If you have existing one and need to wake it up from hibernating (it automatically gets sleep while inactive to save the costs) that might take longer time.
The best way how to find out is to go yourself and try ;)) nobody else can answer it better than that.

Follow-up @DodyO:
I just requested a new instance from https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#! and it was 2 minutes!!!
Perhaps this depends on the selected version, I requested Yokohama to match the client's version and it was super fast. I have read other replies about 2 hours, I don't think it's precise..
