Outbox is sending emails slowly

My requirement - 

 

Currently in the outbox whenever we have 100000 + emails some priority emails get stuck until the previous emails in the outbox are cleared.

 

Can anyone suggest if anyone has any idea on how I can process certain emails on priority from OUTBOX from the queue.

Hi there,

 

Before diving into your question on having priority on some emails. Your actual issue is such an extreme outbox backlog. What are you doing with that?

Hi Mark,

I am trying to see where I can cut down the notification emails so that we have less emails to be sent from ServiceNow end itself. Currently we have one item whose approval is triggered to 20 recipients and this item is used on a daily basis by around 2000 requests each day and 1500 actioned each day.

I am very new in this side of servicenow dealing with performance etc. So trying to explore solutions on my own.

Hi,  You can configure the 'Weight' of the notification. Field is available in the notification form. More the Weight more is the priority of the Notification.
