Permissions

Hi folks. As an admin user, I have the ability to close multiple Incidents at the same time. Today, we had an issue and 40 Incidents were created. One of our users, who is not an admin user, would like to have the permissions to close multiple Incidents at the same time because she is in a role where she will have to do that regularly. Does anyone know how I can grant her the permission to do that?

Since you really didn't say how I'm guessing you are talking about doing this via list view. If so there is a list edit ACL on the incident table that blocks state from being modified. You would need to create a role and add another list edit ACL to allow that role access to edit state in the list view. If you are doing it by script I would not recommend giving anybody access that is not an admin.

Hi @sseverance

Refer: Close multiple incidents from list

Close multiple incidents from the incident list simultaneously that can have the same resolution code.

Before you begin

Role required: itil, list_updater, sn_incident_write, or admin

Note: you can try with ACL+Mentioned role.
