Realistic expectations on getting my CSA? - A non-tech person

All,

I'm a technical recruiter of 25 years.

I do NOT code.

However, I have a good solid foundation and do enjoy playing w/ sw settings and such and feel configuration is something of interest to me.

I'm currently unemployed and can devote daily time to this focus.

My question > What is a realistic expectation for a timeframe to go through the journey or training (I do have my Welcome to ServiceNow badge)?

I do realize it will vary for each person but tried to give you an idea of my knowledge and background.

thank you!

@mewiley Since you can devote full time for the CSA trainings a preparation of 3 months would be more than sufficient to complete the training course and prepare for the CSA exam. Clearing the exam should not be an objective here, primary goal should be to gain an in-depth understanding of the platform. Fortunately, ServiceNow provides Lab instance during the training and personal development instance to practise various ServiceNow related topics, I recommend you to go through the career journey for System Administrator available on Now Learning.

Also, ServiceNow is a low code/no code platform and CSA role doesn't require a lot of technical nohow. Knowledge of Javascript and Angular would be needed only when you decide to transition in to an Application Developer role.

yeh, agree with my other fiends here, 3+ month of learning & working experience would help to get CSA but my suggestion, don't rush for CSA rather than focus on learning, practice on PDI, reading question & answers for job interview and try to get the first job in ServiceNow world, once you are comfortable write the CSA.

Keep reading, learning other courses over now learning portal ( free course & micro-certs ) and use your nowlearning profile link on you resume or linkedin profile for job searching. You are recruiter, so you know better in this space.
