Hi there,
I am planning to implement the MS Teams integration for ServiceNow. Right now, I am researching what steps would need to be done to implement it and found this good video. What's unclear to me and I cannot find information about is how do we move to Prod after testing is done in Dev/UAT instances? I am working with our Azure Admin to plan and want to be clear about what steps need to be done at each stage.
Based on the video I linked to, it seems like the steps would be:
1) I (SN Admin) would enable the misc. plugins for the MS Teams integration in Dev,
2) install the Microsoft Teams app in Dev,
3) have the Azure Admin authorize the different components (Notify Connector, Employee Center, Request based Chat, SSO and Activity Notification)
4) Create manifest for Teams in Dev instance
5) Azure Admin then uploads the manifest (from Dev) into Azure
At this point we'd perform testing. This is the part I need clarification on...
After testing is completed, does a new manifest need to be created in the Prod instance and uploaded to Teams? Or if it just a matter of enabling plugins, installing the Microsoft Teams app, and authorizing the components from the PROD instance?
If anyone has experience with the situation I am describing please do share any tips and experience you have.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi @Chris Dea1
Greetings!!
If I am not wrong:
After testing is completed, does a new manifest need to be created in the Prod instance and uploaded to Teams? Or if it just a matter of enabling plugins, installing the Microsoft Teams app, and authorizing the components from the PROD instance?
Atul: Yes, Need to install plugins and need to create the manifest again in prod.

Hi Atul,
Thanks for the reply. Just to confirm if I install plugins, install MS Teams in Prod instance does the manifest generated in Prod need to uploaded to Teams in Azure? (replacing manifest uploaded from Dev?) I found this other post just now which makes it sounds like the same manifest can be used for Dev and Prod.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi @Chris Dea1
I would like to go with a post link and use the same manifest. Look like experience says it is the only option.
