Hello, System Admins!
I really enjoy working in the ServiceNow platform, workspaces, UIs and instances, yet struggle with time spent navigating multiple logins, workspaces, add-on libraries, etc. Just wondering why ServiceNow doesn't utilize the same single-instance "Workspace" as a means of providing required trainings? One space with lessons, labs, libraries and study materials for the variety of certification paths?
Since the ServiceNow environment is capable of managing multiple departments, allowing users to communicate, share data and manage permissions, would there be a benefit to using the same functionality for users to complete required trainings? Maybe there's a key component / feature that prevents such a use case? Maybe that will be the case after this initial, System Administrator Fundamentals course?
Sure appreciate any feedback you can offer. 🙂

Hi @aphelps9374
I’m a ServiceNow trainer and happy to share my thoughts on this. As a trainer, I can suggest starting with the CSA or Admin course. You can choose the Admin journey over individual courses like CSA admin training. The purpose of this training is to give a brief overview of the platform and its components. Once you become comfortable with that, you can choose micro-certifications like Flow Designer, CMDB, Integration Hub, etc., to build your skill set. If you're interested in the development side, you can also pursue CAD training.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

That’s a great observation, and honestly a very relevant question—especially for someone who’s already experienced working in ServiceNow and can clearly see its potential.
Now Learning was designed as the central portal for all training—courses, paths, certifications. But you're absolutely right—it feels disconnected from the platform you love working in.
You bounce between:
- Now Learning
- Lab environments (often spun up as a temporary PDI clone)
- Developer Portal
- Forums, Docs, and communities
A unified “Workspace for Learning” experience within a ServiceNow-like UI could actually enhance learning, making it feel more natural—like learning to fly in the actual plane, not a simulator.
