A user believed a very complex dashboard was personalized to them and deleted all the tabs/reports from it. This dashboard and its reports are vital to other users and I'm struggling figuring out a means to restore the dashboard to its previous state. I do have access to the report in its original form in sub-prod instances and I've tried exporting/importing various xml files from sub-prod without success. Any ideas?

Hi @DomR5,
Have you checked the Deleted Records table? sys_audit_delete.list
Search for the related table names to find the deleted records of what you need to restore:
pa_m2m_dashboard_tabs - is where dashboard tabs are held
pa_dashboards is where dashboards are held
pa_dashboards_permissions is where the access is held
sys_report is where the individual reports are held
Click on each record and you will be able to select undelete record.
I would then change the permissions from edit to read.
If that doesnt work - here are instructions from ServiceNow for how to do it through update sets: Deep Copy a Dashboard from one ServiceNow Instance to Another - Support and Troubleshooting
Hope this helps!

approaches
1) in left navigation go to deleted records and see if you can restore from there
OR
2) if you have access to that in lower instance then add those in update set and migrate.
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
