Hi @228w1a5421

As a ServiceNow trainer, I’d like to share my thoughts on preparing for the CSA exam.

You can technically pass the CSA exam in just one month, but the platform has become so vast that even three months might feel short to prepare thoroughly. While I wouldn't say three months is the wrong timeframe, it's not an exact one either.

  1. Start by understanding the basics of ServiceNow: This is the foundation.
  2. Once you're familiar with the terms, CSA training comes into play, where you'll deep dive into backend functions like SLA, notifications, and much more.
  3. Every topic has its own labs, and just reading through the labs won't be enough. In an interview, questions won't be asked directly from the ebook, but you'll be expected to demonstrate your knowledge. The ebook sets boundaries, but you need to explore beyond it.
  4. Once your training is done, focus on exam preparation, which takes time. If you fail, you'll lose $300 plus taxes, and you may face a delay in your certification.
  5. So, preparing for the exam can take 1 to 1.5 months.

Reading the ebook, doing labs again, and understanding the material thoroughly all take time.

The key takeaway is that three months can be a reasonable cutoff, but it’s not a strict deadline. You’re not just preparing for a certificate; you're preparing yourself for the market.

One tip I've found useful is repeating example exams.
Do you have any recommendations for mock exams? I like to run example exams enough until I'm consistently reaching a pass level. I'm heard about Udemy exams, but I'd like to know if there are any official or known/recommended pre-exams.
