Xanadu or Yokohama Test for System Admin Certificate

Hi,

I'm taking the ServiceNow Xanadu course though a sponsor organization named Per Scholas. They stated that I am able to take the Xanadu course until August 31st due to an extension, but I don't see any verfication through the testing center or the ServiceNow Website.

Does anyone know if it's true that taking Xanadu exam is extended till August 31st. Everything that I've read stated if voucher expired between July 16th and 23rd (estimate) then it's extended till August 31st but my Voucher is new.

Hi @aparojaret ,

Your understanding is correct - Only voucher expiring in black out period were extend, the extension dates were not for old courses or fresh vouchers. You should complete your course and get the voucher but you need to clear your exam only on Yokohama as now no exam will happen on Xanadu.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Do you recommend taking the complete Yokohama fundamentals course if I already took the Xanadu version? Or should I just study the docs for new/retired features for the Yokohama update before taking the Yokohama exam?

It's kind of a bummer that the sponsor organization has the wrong information and won't be able to learn/confirm the situation till next week. I appreciate you filling in the gaps for me.

Hi @aparojaret ,

Both options are feasible - If you have completed Xanadu fundamental course, completing fundamental course on yokohama will take very less time (May be within 2-3 hours you will be able to complete that as well). Reading about new and expired features will also not take very long so as per me both options are feasible and can be tried. Do not spend much time on finding differences in the versions as only 4-5 questions may change, rest concepts will be same in both versions.
