Starting my ServiceNow SysAdmin Journey!!

Hello, I am Shay!!!

I just wrapped up my second week in the RiseUp with ServiceNow program, which included the SNAF live course in Yokohama. I am currently reviewing the e-books and practicing my labs to gain more familiarity with the platform.

My next step is to begin reviewing the Udemy courses and take practice tests until I am consistently scoring 90 percent or higher. My goal is to take the Certified System Administrator (CSA) exam within the next two weeks.

Do any of you have advice for a "newbie" to the platform or any tips for the CSA exam?

Thank you!!!!

Hi @Shay_Stone

As a ServiceNow trainer, here's my advice:
For any mainline certification exam, including the CSA (Certified System Administrator), the official eBook and training material are the single best sources of truth. Relying on Udemy courses or dumps is not advisable, as these resources can sometimes be misleading. Dumps often contain questions that are correct, but there's no guarantee that the provided answers are 100% accurate, which can create confusion.

Based on my experience, I strongly recommend reading the official eBook 3–4 times—word by word—and practicing the labs 2–3 times. Every time you go through the lab instructions, read them carefully and follow them step by step. I assure you, each time you review the material, you'll learn something new.

This is my honest advice as a trainer.

Go through course contents and practice lab modules once again in ServiceNow University. Go through Yokohama release notes for modules specific to CSA certification.

Check the weightage of scoring based on topics and focus more on those topics. Once you are confident with content, go through quizlet website for sample questions and practice in test mode to understand your learning level and readiness for the exam.

Go through below article for reference

As per community guidelines, you can accept more than one answer as accepted solution. If my response helped to answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.

Thanks,

Thank you Dr. Atul G!!! I am currently reviewing your YouTube Video and I have saved the Batch 17 for a future review. I will definetly take your advice regarding reading the official book 3 to 4 times as well as practicing my labs. I look forward to tagging you on my LinkedIn Post once I pass my test.
