The Service Bridge documentation released for Zurich has undergone significant enhancements to improve user experience and understanding.

 

What's Changed?

The explore section of the Service Bridge documentation has received a complete overhaul, making it more intuitive and navigation-friendly.

 

The key updates include:

  • A reorganised table of contents and topics within the Explore section, making it easier to navigate and find information.

  • A new Explore page acts as a central hub giving you a clear starting point on the product’s primary functions, including an infographic that offers a deeper understanding of how Service Bridge connects multiple ServiceNow instances.

Yeah, I’ve gone through it — and here are the features I found:

1. Foundation Data Sync (FDS)

  • Provider to Consumer Only model is now supported.
  • Expanded Table Support:
    • Non-CMDB tables with Transform Maps.
    • CMDB tables integrated using IntegrationHub ETL and Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
    • Supported tables include: CMDB, Asset, User, Group, Location, Company, Department.

2. Service Bridge Health Dashboard

  • Proactive Issue Detection:
    • Instance scan checks help identify inconsistencies early.
    • Errors and findings are displayed in the Health Dashboard to maintain system health.
  • Key Benefits:
    • Enhances integration stability.
    • Reduces time spent on troubleshooting.
    • Offers actionable error resolutions.
    • Improves overall productivity.
  • Scan Suites:
    • Support both on-demand and scheduled scans.

3. Magic Links

  • SSO Login for Consumers:
    • Enables direct access to provider instance resources via secure Single Sign-On (SSO) links.
