We just launched a signfiicant amount of new functionality in the Sales and Order Management for Telecom (SOMT). Kathy Neff (ServiceNow CIWF Product Marketing) wrote a lovely article detailing it for SOM here. All the features listed are available to our telco customers, but I want to highlight some of the key functions that really add more great value.
- Location Based Quoting and Ordering - the ability to capture and price opportunities, quotes and orders at the location including supporting bulk orders by copying all the details/line items from one location to another.
- Order Management Jeopardy considering business days/hours (not just days)
- Extensions to the Product Catalog modelling to show the full product offering hierarchy to the technical catalog elements.
- Quote Management: Sales Agreements configurable and bundled products support
- Subscription revenue metrices to allow better reporting, prioritization, and management of opportunities.
- Graceful MACD quote management from the customer account view.
- Case Management for Order Operations - allowing for cases related to an order.
